Please Help Send VJL to the Animal Rights National Conference! April 18, 2015

Donate here!

The Vegan Justice League at CU Boulder supports the needs of vegan students and the Boulder vegan community, promotes the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle, and serves the outward community of people through various forms of outreach and community building.
We are hoping to send six of our members to the 2015 Animal Rights National Conference in Washington DC on July 30th-August 2nd. This fundraising aims to support our transportation from Colorado, accommodations, and conference registration. While we have been partially funded through the CU Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and the CU Office of Diversity, Equity, and Student Engagement, and are hoping to be further funded by the CU Arts and Sciences Student Government and the CUSG Representative Council, we still project that we will need an additional $2,000 to attend the conference.

Attending this conference will support us in our vegan community and outreach here at CU Boulder. The wider university community has become more interested in plant-based lifestyles. VJL has grown seven-fold in the past 2 years, and we frequently receive emails from prospective students about vegan life at CU. This conference will support VJL leaders with more knowledge of the animal rights and plant-based lifestyle movements that will support a stronger presence on campus for vegans and vegetarians, whose opinions and needs are often less represented.

“The Animal Rights National Conference is designed for people who wish to improve their animal advocacy skills or simply to network with other animal activists.”
